Attention Parents: If you have a child enrolling in Cullman County Schools (grades K-12) for the very first time, you will need to register your child at the Cullman County Board of Education (402 Arnold Street NE Cullman, Al) on Tuesday, July 26th from 12:00-7:00.
To be eligible to enroll in Kindergarten for the 2016-17 school year, the child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2015. (Alabama law: 16-28-4)
Parents/legal guardians should present the following documentation to school officials at registration: Birth certificate (certified birth certificate preferred; copies will be made; original returned to parent)
Up-to-Date Immunization Card (Blue Slip) The original blue slip will be retained and placed in student’s permanent record folder at school.
Proof of residency (recent utility bill or residential lease).
Other documentation (information school needs to know such as child custody, special health needs,etc)
Social security card (not required but if presented will be used to create a unique ID for your child in the Chalkable student database)
Elementary age students should accompany parents to registration to complete vision and hearing screenings.
NOTE: Student registration is NOT complete until all of the above documentation has been presented to the school. Student will not be assigned to a class or given a schedule until the documentation has been presented to the school.
